What Might Have Gone Wrong
All in all, it’s not uncommon for devices that run on Android to bug out every now and then in use. That being said, if your Droid Turbo won’t turn on or charge, the list of suspects comprises:
- Charging cable.
- Charging port.
- Battery.
Approaches To The Situation
Check Out The Cable
For your information, the charging cable is what lets electricity flow from power supply into the battery of your Droid Turbo. That means if the charging cable experiences issues, it’s only natural that you would have a hard time charging the device. To be thorough, you should look for signs of damage on the charging cable. Alternatively, you could use the charging cable to charge another Motorola phone and see how things turn out.
If you conclude that the cable is the root of the problem, pick up a replacement cable.
Take A Look At The Charging Port
Even if the charging cable is intact, there is no way the battery could receive electricity during recharges if the charging port is not in working order. Thus, in the case that your Droid Turbo won’t turn on or charge, it’s a good idea to take a look at the charging port. If the charging port appears dirty, you should clean it. If the charging port is damaged, send in the device for repair.
Examine And Inspect The Battery
Like everything else, the battery of your phone degrades as time passes by which results in decreased capabilities. You have been using your Droid Turbo for a long time? Then it’s strongly recommended that you examine and inspect the battery if the device won’t turn on or charge. As a precaution, you should only get replacement batteries from reputable sources.

How To Get The Battery To Last Longer
- Reduce screen’s brightness: The brighter the screen, the higher the battery consumption. By reducing the screen’s brightness, you should be able to optimize battery life. To reduce the screen’s brightness, pull down the notifications panel twice and swipe the brightness bar to the left.
- Reduce the screen timeout: Even if you don’t use your phone, the device will keep consuming battery as long as the display is on. To save more power, you should reduce the time it takes for the display to turn off (timeout). The process is simple: launch Settings, select Display and choose Screen timeout. Usually, 30 seconds is a solid choice but 1 minute works too.
- Turn on Power Saving: As the same suggests, Power Saving is a feature that lets you save battery life. To turn on Power Saving, open Settings, select Battery, choose Power Saving and toggle on the switch.
